Where: To Be Announced
What: -Northeast Indiana’s largest AIDS fundraiser and public awareness event.
– A 5K walkathon to benefit HIV-impacted Hoosiers.
– A Festival, featuring live performances, information fair, speakers, entertainment for children, concessions, door prizes and fundraising awards.
– Names Project AIDS Memorial Quilt panel display, Names reading, Wreath of Remembrance & memorial scrapbook.
Who: AIDSWalk is organized by a committee comprised of both ATF staff and volunteers.
Why: To raise funds for HIV-impacted individuals and families in our region. Ninety percent of the proceeds will stay in northeast Indiana with 10 percent going to statewide HIV/AIDS emergency services fund.
To raise awareness if HIV and AIDS in our region and the ongoing need for prevention and care.
To combat the fears and myths that fuel the ongoing epidemic.
